Buzz and Bumble

Sometimes I try to reinvent the wheel when coming up with ideas to do with my CTMH club. Why? I have no idea. After all, that is what an Idea Book  is for, right?

I had the Buzz and Bumble WOTG on hand. I loved the stamp set that comes with it. Stamp sets that are in the workshops are always exclusive to the kits and are not sold separately. In addition, you get instructions for a couple of projects. I CASED the card idea from the "bonus" project, which is creating with the new cardboard tubes. I wanted a card, as I do not have a set of tubes on hand for my group.

This is what I came up with:

I am not big into colouring and have not invested in any of CTMH's alcohol markers (yet!). I used the water-colour marker, my ink pads and a couple of "old style" markers that I have that happen to fit the colour palette.

I learned to press the center of the seed packet image more firmly and passed the tip on to my group. The flower image did not come as clear as I wanted it to. Looking now, I would add a few more of the brown clear sparkles!

You press the ink pad lid down before opening it and ink will adhere to the lid. I use the watercolour marker (which can be used again and again with different colours, as long as you "colour" off the old colour before changing) and picked up some of the colour and inked up the marker for colouring.

CTMH supplies: buzz and bumble WOTG; sunset, cocoa, creme brûlée, sweet leaf inks; brown clear sparkles; hemp; sunset, creme brulee and colonial white cs.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Sweet card.
My GF has the Close to My Heart alcohol markers, she only has a few colours. I had tried them and was very impressed with them...I would highly recommend them if you want to get into colouring with alcohol markers.
I really like the bee at the bottom of your card, so cute.
Oh I have a tip...sometimes with the bigger stamps, I get a crisper image applying the paper to the image instead of the other way around.
